Jamie Gibbons

Therapist

I’m Jamie, and my path into becoming a therapist began long before any formal training or qualifications, it started when I first went to therapy myself. Sitting in the client chair showed me what it’s like to walk in feeling unsure, hopeful, nervous, or all three at once. It taught me how important it is to feel genuinely seen and understood, and how much courage it takes just to show up. That experience stays with me, and it shapes the way I work with people now.

Although I’m a therapist today, that hasn’t always been my world. Most of my career has been spent in leadership and training roles across both the public and private sectors, supporting teams through change, navigating challenges and helping others grow. This background gives me a grounded, real‑world understanding of people, relationships and the pressures life places on us, as well as a deep respect for the many ways people cope and make sense of their lives.

My approach is intuitive, person‑centred and integrative, meaning I meet you where you are and we explore things together. Alongside talking, I offer creative options such as art materials, sand tray, writing, objects or simple mindfulness. It’s always optional and led by you.

I’m a registered member of the BACP and work with adults 18+, offering a steady, kind and real space to explore whatever you’re carrying.
