What is Therapy?
Therapy, or counselling as it’s also known, might seem like an intimidating prospect to the uninitiated. After all, the thought of sitting in a room (or in front of a screen) and talking about the intricacies and intimacies of your life with a complete stranger sounds pretty terrible, right? Well, not necessarily. I’m here to tell you that actually sometimes, when we’re really struggling, having the opportunity to speak to and be heard by someone who will listen, not judge you, and not throw unwanted advice at you, can really help to put things into perspective. I will work together with you to help you identify your goals, and figure out what’s important to you in your life. From there, once the groundwork is laid, we can build on these foundations towards the life that you deserve to be living. Whatever is stopping you from living the life you want- be it past traumas, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self esteem, it is possible to get to the bottom of why you feel the way you do, and from there start to learn what it might be like to live your life in the way you want to, and in a way that is most meaningful for you.
