Hi, thanks for visiting my profile on your step to finding a counsellor, who is right for you, which can be daunting.

I’m a student counsellor working almost to the end of a foundation degree in Counselling skills and Therapeutic Practice, which I’m completing at Newcastle College. Following this I intend to further study to gain a BSc (hons). I have already counselled a variety of clients with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, anger management and relationship issues. I use an integrated modality, with CBT and psychodynamics along with a person-centred basis. In the counselling room I will hold empathy and listen without judgement with every client and give them the space to be heard and feel safe.

After many years in a commercial career, I followed my dream of becoming a counsellor and changed direction to take the relevant qualifications. My life experience, combined with 4 years of studying counselling and my time gained with clients, gives me an awareness of many situations brought into the room. I have the ability to help and understand clients, when providing a listening ear and support them to gain coping mechanisms.

I have a naturally friendly personality and if you need to talk openly, without being judged, need an empathetic ear, or to find some clarification to improve your mental heath and wellbeing, then please do contact me and we can schedule an appointment to chat and see how we get on.
